Panola Co Historical & Genealogical Garrett and Low Family Search, 1910 Many of my ancestors are from Panola County. Grandparents on both my father and mother's sides of the family are buried at Rose Hill Cemetery in Sardis. My father was George Alvin Garrett (1910-1995),son of Weedie and Laverna Harmon Garrett. My mother was Olie Louise Low (1914-2002), daughter of David D. and Sarah Ruffin Low. My roots on my father's side go back to the Harmons and Elmores of Lafayette County ... and on my mother's side to the Ruffins and Whites from the Como area. Just had a visit to Panola County a couple of weeks ago and had a wonderful tour of Como and of several cemeteries there.
